6. It starts up from rest and wishes no extra starter and has to not be synchronized.
7. Its starting arrangement is simple, especially for squirrel cage-type motor.

1. Its speed can't be varied without sacrificing a number of its efficiency.
2. Its speed decreases with an increase in load.
3. Its starting torque is somewhat inferior thereto of a DC shunt motor.

4. এতে যুক্তিসঙ্গতভাবে ভাল পাওয়ার ফ্যাক্টর রয়েছে।
5. এটির কম রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ দরকার।
6. এটি ইনিশিয়াল অবস্থা থেকে স্টার্ট হয় ফলে কোনও অতিরিক্ত স্টার্টার লাগে না এবং সিঙ্ক্রোনাইজ করারও প্রয়োজন হয় না ।

1. এর গতি পরিবর্তন করতে হলে দক্ষতারও পরিবর্তন করতে হয়।
2. লোড বাড়ার সাথে সাথে এর গতি হ্রাস পায়।
3. এটির স্টার্ট টর্ক ডিসি শান্ট মোটরের থেকে কিছুটা কম হয়।
